Coaching: 1:1 Agenda Builder

By Summit53 Team

Overview

The 1:1 Agenda builder (/coaching/agenda/:repId/:weekNumber) assembles a ready-to-run agenda for a coaching session. The agenda is auto-built from two inputs: the repโ€™s diagnostic and the scheduled week type in the quarterโ€™s cadence โ€” so a Skills week produces a different agenda from a Strategic or Close week. You reach it from Plan this weekโ€™s 1:1s on the dashboard or Prep 1:1 agenda on a rep view; the week defaults to current.

Header actions are Dashboard (return to the team view) and Complete Session (save your notes and action items against the session).

Team sidebar

The left column lists every rep on your team with their diagnosed layer badge. Click any rep to rebuild the agenda for them while keeping the selected week, so you can move down your 1:1 list without leaving the page.

Rep brief and week picker

At the top of the agenda, a brief restates the rep, their diagnosed layer, and their focus metric with current value, benchmark, and gap, plus a view profile link to the rep deep-dive. A Prep time readout totals the minutes across selected items and shows how many items are currently selected.

Beneath it, the Pick a week ribbon shows the 13-week cadence with the current week marked now and colour-coded by type (Strategic, Skills, Career, Execution, Close). Selecting a week rebuilds the agenda for that weekโ€™s coaching model.

Recent meeting insights

When the rep has flagged meetings from recent recordings, a Recent meeting insights card offers conversation starters for the 1:1 โ€” the specific coaching signals from those meetings, each with a View meeting link. This card only appears when there are flagged meetings to draw on.

Agenda sections

The agenda itself is a set of timed sections headed with the week number, week type, and coaching model (for example โ€œW10 ยท Skills Focus ยท Trainingโ€). Each section has a duration and a list of discussion prompts or items you can toggle on or off with a checkbox โ€” everything is selected by default. A typical Skills week includes a short Pipeline Pulse, a longer skills-coaching block tied to the focus metric, a Focus Metric Tracker, and an Action Items block. Use + Custom item to add your own, and the per-section edit and remove controls to tailor it.

Previous action items

If the last session recorded action items, they appear under Previous Action Items so you can open the 1:1 by closing the loop on what was agreed. These carry forward automatically from the prior completed session.

Session notes and action items

Session Notes is a free-text area for capturing key discussion points and feedback during the meeting. Under Action Items, type a task and press Enter or click Add to build the list for this session. When you click Complete Session, the notes and action items are saved against the session and a Saved confirmation appears; those action items then surface as โ€œPrevious Action Itemsโ€ in the next 1:1.

Running a 1:1

  1. Open the builder for the rep, defaulting to the current week.
  2. Confirm or change the week in the Pick a week ribbon.
  3. Review the auto-built sections; toggle off anything not relevant and add custom items as needed.
  4. Work through previous action items and the discussion prompts during the meeting.
  5. Capture Session Notes and add Action Items.
  6. Click Complete Session to save.
