Overview

The Forecast Settings page (“Manage revenue forecasts and predictions”) is where forecast figures are entered for each person: their Pipeline, Best Case and Commit for a period. You can edit one person at a time, update many at once, import a file, and export the current period.

Getting there

Open the Forecasts card from the Settings hub, or go to /revenue-intelligence/settings/forecasts.

Choosing a period

Use the period selector at the top to choose Weekly, Monthly, Quarterly or Annual. The summary and table update to match.

Forecast Summary

Total Pipeline, Total Best Case and Total Commit — the sums of everyone’s forecast figures for the period.
Coverage — how many people have submitted a forecast, for example “12 / 18” with “67% submitted”. Someone counts as submitted once their Commit is above zero.

The forecast table

Columns are User, Current Pipeline (their open pipeline in the period), Pipeline Forecast, Best Case, Commitand Actions. Rows you aren’t allowed to edit show “View only”.

Editing one person’s forecast

Select the pencil icon in their Actions column.
Enter Pipeline Forecast, Best Case and Commit. The lightbulb buttons offer a suggestion for each:
- Pipeline Suggestion — based on current open opportunities in the period.
- Best Case Suggestion — Pipeline × 30%.
- Commit Suggestion — Pipeline × 20%.
Select the tick to save, or the cross to cancel.

Bulk-editing forecasts

Choose the period.
Select Bulk Edit to open Bulk Edit Forecasts.
Tick the people to update.
Enter Pipeline, Best Case and Commit.
Select Update … Users.

All three values are applied to everyone you ticked. A field left blank is saved as 0, so fill in every value you want to keep.

Import and Export

Import — upload a CSV file with the columns email, pipeline, best_case and commit.
Export — downloads the forecasts for the selected period.

Troubleshooting

Coverage looks low: coverage counts people with a Commit above zero. Chase the people still showing 0.
Bulk Edit wiped some values: blank fields are saved as 0. Re-enter the values and include every field next time.
Import didn’t apply: check the file is CSV with the expected columns, that emails match Summit53 users, and that you had the intended period selected.
A row says View only: you don’t have permission to edit that person’s forecast.
