HubSpot Integration: Credentials & Connection

By Summit53 Team

Overview

The HubSpot integration connects your HubSpot account so Summit53 can work with your companies, contacts, and deals. Setup is OAuth-based: you supply your HubSpot app credentials, then authorise the connection. Open it from Integrations by selecting the HubSpot card, or go directly to /admin/integrations/hubspot.

Connection management is available today. Sync controls and field mapping are on the roadmap and currently show a Coming Soon notice (see Tabs below).

Tabs

  • Credentials: Enter your HubSpot app Client ID and Client Secret and the redirect URI; save and check OAuth status. This is the default tab.
  • Connection: Authorise (or disconnect) your HubSpot account once credentials are saved.
  • Sync: Coming Soon โ€” sync controls will be available in a later phase.
  • Field Mapping: Coming Soon โ€” field mapping will be available in a later phase.

Credentials

On the Credentials tab, register an app in your HubSpot developer account, then enter:

  1. Client ID โ€” from your HubSpot app. Required.
  2. Client Secret โ€” required for initial setup. If credentials already exist, leave this blank to keep the existing secret, or enter a new value to update it. Use the eye icon to show or hide the value.
  3. Redirect URI โ€” pre-filled with your Summit53 callback URL (ending in /api/integrations/hubspot/oauth/callback). Copy this exact value into your HubSpot appโ€™s redirect URL settings.

Select Save Credentials. A Configured badge appears once credentials are stored. Use Check OAuth Status to verify the credentials and current connection state; a warning result (rather than an error) means credentials are saved but the account is not yet connected.

Connection

Move to the Connection tab to authorise HubSpot. The Getting Started panel summarises the two steps: set the Client ID and Secret on the Credentials tab, then return here to connect your HubSpot account and begin working with companies, contacts, and deals. The tab shows your current connection status and the controls to connect or disconnect.

Quick Start

  1. Open Integrations and select HubSpot (or Set up if it is not yet configured).
  2. On Credentials, enter your Client ID and Client Secret, confirm the Redirect URI, then Save Credentials.
  3. Select Check OAuth Status to confirm the credentials are valid.
  4. Switch to Connection and authorise your HubSpot account.

Troubleshooting

  • Client ID is required: the Client ID field is empty โ€” paste it from your HubSpot app.
  • Client Secret is required for initial setup: a secret must be provided the first time you save. On later edits it can be left blank.
  • Redirect URI mismatch: the URI in your HubSpot app must match the value shown on the Credentials tab exactly.
  • Sync or Field Mapping shows Coming Soon: these tabs are placeholders until the feature ships; use Credentials and Connection in the meantime.
