JobAdder Integration: Connect, Sync & Import Opportunities

Overview

The JobAdder integration imports opportunities and company data from your JobAdder account into Summit53. It uses JobAdderโ€™s official OAuth 2.0 flow, lets you preview and choose exactly which opportunities to import, and maps JobAdder owners to Summit53 users by email. Open it from Integrations by selecting the JobAdder card, or go directly to /admin/integrations/jobadder.

Tabs

  • Configuration: Connect to JobAdder and set sync and duplicate-handling preferences. This is the default tab.
  • Sync Management: Start a background sync, watch its progress, and review sync history.
  • Import Opportunities: Preview JobAdder opportunities and select which ones to import.

Configuration

The Configuration tab opens with Connect to JobAdder. Authorise your account through the OAuth flow; the panel shows the live connection status (checking, connected, disconnected, or error) and a control to disconnect.

Once connected, additional settings appear:

  • Automatic sync: Enable scheduled syncing and choose a frequency โ€” Every hour, Daily, or Weekly.
  • Duplicate handling: Choose how matching records are treated โ€” Skip duplicates, Update existing, or Create new record.
  • Save your choices with Save Settings.

Sync Management

Use the Sync Management tab to run a sync in the background rather than importing item by item.

  1. Set the sync filters, then select Start Sync.
  2. The active sync reports live progress; you can leave the tab while it runs.
  3. When it finishes, it is added to the sync history. The history lists recent syncs with their status so you can confirm completion or spot failures.

Import Opportunities

The Import Opportunities tab lets you hand-pick which opportunities to bring in.

  1. Adjust the filters โ€” for example the date range (days) and a result limit, and the Active only toggle โ€” to narrow the preview.
  2. Review the previewed opportunities. Use Select All, or tick individual rows, to choose what to import.
  3. Select Import. A success banner reports how many opportunities were imported, updated, and skipped as duplicates.

Quick Start

  1. Open Integrations and select JobAdder (or Set up if it is not yet configured).
  2. On Configuration, connect your JobAdder account and, optionally, set automatic sync and duplicate handling, then Save Settings.
  3. Go to Import Opportunities, filter and preview, select the opportunities you want, and choose Import.
  4. For ongoing updates, run a background sync from Sync Management or rely on the automatic schedule.

How owners are mapped

JobAdder opportunity owners are matched to Summit53 users by email address, so imported opportunities are assigned to the right person automatically. Make sure each ownerโ€™s JobAdder email matches their Summit53 account email.

Troubleshooting

  • Connection shows error or disconnected: re-run the OAuth flow from the Configuration tab; confirm you authorised the correct JobAdder account.
  • Settings only appear after connecting: sync frequency and duplicate handling are shown once the account is connected.
  • Duplicates imported unexpectedly: check the duplicate-handling choice โ€” set it to Skip duplicates or Update existing rather than Create new record.
  • Opportunities not assigned: confirm the ownerโ€™s JobAdder email matches a Summit53 user email.
