Overview
My Engine is the individual contributorโs version of the Revenue Engine. Where the Revenue Engine home reads the whole organisation, My Engine reads exactly one book โ yours. Every number on the page comes from leads, opportunities and accounts you own. It never borrows team data to fill a gap, so a quiet page means a quiet book, not a broken feed.
The page answers two questions in order: where do I stand, and what do I do next. It opens with a masthead of personal vitals, then hands you a Today Rail of actions, meetings and nudges, a Deal Spotlight naming the single deal most worth your attention, and a personal canvas showing how your work flows through the period.
Finding My Engine
If your primary role is set to individual contributor, My Engine is the first item in the sidebar, above Revenue Engine and Notes. If you are a leader or pipeline owner who has been granted access, it appears instead under the Resources menu in the top bar. Either route opens the same page at /my-engine.
The masthead: where I stand
The header carries the eyebrow MY ENGINE with your fiscal period, the headline Where I stand. What I do next., and a posture line written from your own evidence โ a plain-language read on how the period is going and which element is leading it.
On the right sit two controls: a period dropdown (labelled My Engine reporting period) that re-queries the entire page, and a refresh button that re-polls immediately. If some sources are still generating or temporarily unavailable, a warning strip appears under the header and the data that did load stays visible โ the page degrades in parts, never all at once.
The five metric tiles
Beneath the header is a row of tiles. Each one is a link into the underlying records.
- Quota attainment โ your actual as a percentage of target, with the actual figure underneath. Opens your closed-won opportunities for the period.
- Commit vs target โ your commit number against the target. If no quota is set, the detail line reads Quota not set. Opens your Commit-category opportunities.
- Pipeline coverage โ your coverage ratio (for example 3.2ร) with your open pipeline value. Opens the Pipeline Explorer scoped to you.
- Weeks remaining โ weeks left in the fiscal period. Opens your action plan.
- Actual โ closed won in the period.
Where a metric has no evidence, the tile shows an em dash rather than a zero. That distinction is deliberate: a dash means โnot knownโ, a zero means โknown to be nothingโ.
Directly below runs a scrollable strip of smaller cards โ your book at a glance. Each card is a count from your own records and links straight to the matching list.
My Growth and Momentum
MY GROWTH surfaces your current coaching focus, drawn from your most recent persisted coaching diagnostic. It shows a headline, a narrative explaining the focus, and a provenance line reading Coaching Intelligence plus the layer label and the week the evidence comes from. An Open my coaching view button takes you to the full diagnostic. Before your first diagnostic exists, the panel says so plainly rather than inventing a focus.
MOMENTUM โ What I am building โ holds two counters:
- Wins this period โ the count and total value of your wins, linking through to the records.
- Working-day streak โ consecutive working days on which you completed at least one action. The caption tells you the current state: Action completed today, Complete one action each workday, or Paused for the weekend. Weekends do not break the streak.
Week in Review
On the days it is relevant, a WEEK IN REVIEW panel appears with the headline What I moved. What I closed. What is next. It breaks into four cards: WHAT MOVED (deals that changed stage, each showing the from โ to transition), WHAT I CLOSED (count and value), WHAT I COMPLETED (actions, plus a capture count), and QUEUED FOR MONDAY. Dismiss it with the close button in the corner; if one weekly source fails, the panel says so and keeps the evidence that did load.
My book on the engine
The canvas section โ MY BOOK ON THE ENGINE โ renders your owned leads, opportunities and accounts on the same revenue-lifecycle canvas used across the product, titled MY ENGINE ยท OWNER ONLY. A segmented control offers two layouts:
- Currents โ the figure-eight view (the default).
- Linear โ the Bowtie view, which adds its own overlay and flow controls.
Select any node and the rail on the right becomes MY STAGE INSPECTOR, listing only your entities at that stage with their signal states. Until you select something it prompts you to do so. If the inspector fails to load it offers a retry rather than showing stale contents.
For the canvas grammar itself โ the stages, overlays and leak points โ see the Revenue Flow Canvas guide.
Sparse-book messages
Because My Engine refuses to borrow team data, it explains thin periods explicitly. You may see one of these notes above the canvas:
- Owned pipeline is visible but quota is not set, so coverage and attainment stay blank.
- The selected-period book is empty โ no owned leads, opportunities or accounts.
- No open opportunities in this period, though won outcomes and owned accounts remain visible.
- A single open opportunity carries the pipeline, and the canvas keeps its real scale.
- You own accounts, but no renewal, expansion or value-impact evidence maps them to a retention stage yet.
- Stage totals are current, but there are no persisted owner-only signals to overlay.
The Today Rail: what I do today
TODAY RAIL is the working half of the page and has three blocks.
- TOP ACTIONS โ your highest-priority incomplete actions, numbered. Click the title to open the record, or press the tick button to complete the action in place; it disappears from the list immediately. View full action planopens the weekly action plan for the same period.
- TODAYโS MEETINGS โ todayโs stored meetings with start time, whether an opportunity is linked, and the capture state (not started, in progress, completed or failed). Open framework gaps are listed underneath, and a capture summary is previewed where one exists. A calendar-state indicator and an Open meetings hub link sit in the block header.
- NUDGES โ evidence-backed stalled or gone-quiet warnings, each with a suggested next step and a link to the record. If there are none, it says so.
Each block distinguishes between empty (โno incomplete actions in my latest planโ) and unavailable (โmy action plan is unavailableโ), so you always know whether to act or to wait.
Deal Spotlight
The sticky panel on the right โ DEAL SPOTLIGHT, The deal that moves my number โ names one opportunity: the one with the highest deterministic impact on your period. It shows the deal name and amount, then a FIRST FAILING LAYER block identifying where qualification breaks down first, with the supporting evidence listed beneath. A NEXT BEST ACTION follows, and Open failing layer takes you straight to that part of the opportunity.
Where framework evidence is too thin to diagnose, the panel says there is not enough persisted evidence rather than guessing. If no open opportunity falls inside the period or its lookahead window, the spotlight reports that instead.
Quick start
- Open My Engine from the sidebar (or from Resources if you are a leader).
- Check the period in the dropdown matches the quarter you are working.
- Read the posture line and the Quota attainment and Pipeline coverage tiles โ that is where you stand.
- Work the TOP ACTIONS list, ticking each one off as you go to keep your streak alive.
- Open the DEAL SPOTLIGHT and action the first failing layer on your biggest deal.
- Scan NUDGES for anything going quiet before it becomes a stalled deal.
- Use the canvas and MY STAGE INSPECTOR to find where your own book is bunching up.
Troubleshooting
- I cannot find My Engine in the sidebar. The sidebar entry appears for individual contributors. Leaders and pipeline owners with access reach it from the Resources menu instead.
- Coverage and attainment are blank but I have pipeline. No quota is set for you in this period. The page leaves both blank rather than deriving a misleading percentage โ ask your administrator to set a quota in Revenue Settings.
- The canvas says the personal snapshot is unavailable. The masthead, Today Rail and spotlight keep working while that source recovers. Press refresh after a moment.
- My Growth is empty. The coaching focus appears after your first persisted coaching diagnostic.
- A tile shows an em dash. That means the value is not known, which is different from zero. Check whether the underlying records exist for the selected period.
The footer of the page carries the data version, the generation timestamp and the cache state โ useful detail to quote if you report a discrepancy.
