Quick Setup: Configure Revenue Intelligence in 3 Steps

By Summit53 Team

Overview

Quick Setup is a short, three-step wizard that gets Revenue Intelligence configured for your team without touching every settings page individually. It is the fastest way to choose how much you want to configure, turn on the features you need, and apply sensible defaults.

Getting there

From the Settings hub, select Start Quick Setup in the Configuration Status card, or Run Quick Setup under Quick Actions. The wizard lives at /revenue-intelligence/settings/quick-setup.

Step 1 โ€” Choose your setup

The welcome step asks how you want to configure the platform. There are three choices:

  • Auto: let the system configure recommended defaults for you.
  • Manual: step through enabling features and setting defaults yourself.
  • Skip: use zero-configuration mode and run on defaults; you can configure areas later from the Settings hub.

Choosing Skip completes setup immediately. Auto and Manual continue to the next steps.

Step 2 โ€” Enable Features

Turn on the capabilities you want to use. The available features are:

  • Quotas โ€” track performance against targets.
  • Territories โ€” define and assign coverage.
  • ML Forecasting โ€” machine-learning predictions.
  • Custom KPIs โ€” build your own metrics on the Custom Metrics page.

Toggle each feature on or off; you can change any of these later from the relevant settings page.

Step 3 โ€” Set Defaults

Apply starting values such as the default period and basic targets, and optionally enable team structure so your hierarchy is ready to use. These are starting points, not locked-in choices โ€” refine them in Quotas, Teams, and the other areas afterwards.

Completing setup

  1. Use Next to move forward and Back to revise an earlier step.
  2. On the final step, select Complete Setup to apply your configuration.
  3. You are returned to the Settings hub, where the Configuration Status updates to reflect what you enabled.

Selecting Cancel on the first step leaves the wizard without applying changes.

Troubleshooting

  • Not sure what to pick? Choose Skip to start in zero-configuration mode and enable areas one at a time later.
  • A feature is missing afterwards: re-run Quick Setup, or open the featureโ€™s settings page directly and enable it there.
